Thomas Hooker, P.E. is a Senior Associate in Thornton Tomasetti’s structural engineering practice within their NYC headquarters. Tom has more than 10 years of design experience across a variety of building sectors – spanning mission critical facilities, tech campuses, corporate headquarters, cultural venues and film studios, commercial and residential buildings and mixed-use complexes. In the mission critical sector, Tom has built relationships with many datacenter clients in colocation and hyperscale builds – such as Equinix, Aligned Data Centers, Sentinel Data Centers, and Microsoft. Tom was the project manager for two recent hybrid mass timber Microsoft datacenters. He has also been a key team member in a number of embodied carbon studies and reports that have been compiled by Thornton Tomasetti to help advance the use of mass timber in the mission critical sector.
