Erin Kirkpatrick


Corporate Sustainability Manager, Swinerton

Erin holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Master’s in Urban Studies and Sustainable Development. A LEED AP BC+C as well, she brings extensive experience and passion to advance Swinerton’s sustainability initiatives. Her efforts will include benchmarking and tracking resource efficiency of offices and jobsites; designing a roadmap to reduce our carbon impact on the built environment; and implementing Green Office and Green Jobsite guides.

Before joining Swinerton, Erin served as Sustainability Manager for a well-respected Pacific Northwest general contractor, where she delivered in-house technical support and project management for public and commercial buildings. Her work fueled her passion to dive deep into project details while finding opportunities to develop new innovations to achieve her clients’ green building and climate commitment goals. She developed and managed each client’s path toward sustainability certifications for LEED v4 and ILFI Net Zero Carbon projects while also developing and managing internal sustainability initiatives and corporate ESG.

A thought leader in the field of sustainability, Erin participates in several regional and national organizations to stay abreast of the newest industry trends and emerging technologies. She is currently participating in an advisory panel to provide input for the newest version of LEED (LEED v5) to be drafted this Fall. Erin is involved in peer network groups, including the Sustainable Construction Leaders through BuildingGreen, the Carbon Leadership Forum, and Architecture 2030. She is an Associate AIA Member working towards Living Future Accreditation (LFA).
