Brian Milakovsky

Senior Forester, New England Forestry Foundation

Brian joined NEFF in spring 2024. As Senior Forester, he focuses on ensuring the uptake of forestry practices in New England that produce climate-smart commodities and are in keeping with NEFF’s Exemplary Forestry standards. His work includes partnering with diverse landowners and practitioners, as well as demonstrating Exemplary Forestry on NEFF’s own lands. Brian studied forestry at the University of Maine and Yale University, and spent 15 years working on forest conservation and economic development in Russia and Ukraine before returning to New England.
